A good night's sleep with a royal seal of approval
GUESTS AT a leading Newcastle hotel are guaranteed a better night’s sleep than ever before, thanks to new mattresses fit for royalty.
The Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel, at Gallowgate, is one of three UK venues owned by the Canadian hotel group chain, which also has hotels at Aberdeen and Gatwick.
And the group is now working closely with Glencraft – which has supplied four generations of the Royal family at Balmoral Castle – to create more than 50 luxury mattresses that will be unique to the chain.
The decision comes after the Canadian hotel group chain worked with the Scottish company on bedframes and mattresses for the 218 rooms at the Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel, which opened in August.
Glencraft has handcrafted luxury mattresses for more than 175 years, using natural materials to aid comfort and support and holds a Royal Warrant.
Mitch Gaglardi, director at the Canadian hotel group chain is delighted with the partnership.
“It’s fantastic to work with an organisation which is as long-established in its field as Glencraft and we have had brilliant feedback at the Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel,” said Mitch.
“We know how valuable a good night’s sleep is when guests are staying away from home and that’s why are once again working with Glencraft so our Newcastle guests can have the best possible rest.
“We are always looking to improve the experience of those staying with us and this is certain to add an extra element of indulgence to their visit.”
The hotel has a range of meetings, conference and private dining spaces, including a business centre, on-site restaurant and the Shark Club Gastro Bar.
