Leading Wills, Trusts and Tax solicitor appointed to global professional association committee
An experienced Wills, Trusts and Tax solicitor from Shropshire has joined a branch committee of STEP, the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning.
Lynda Richards TEP, a Partner at Shrewsbury-based Aarons & Partners LLP, has been appointed to the Society’s Birmingham branch committee.
STEP (Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners) is a global professional association with more than 20,000 members across 95 countries. Full STEP members, known as TEPs, are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience.
Denese Molyneux TEP, Chair of STEP’s England and Wales region, said: “Lynda is a welcome addition to our Birmingham branch committee and really helps strengthen our regional network across the Midlands and Shropshire.
“Our members ensure families dealing with inheritance and other inter-generational issues receive the best quality advice, backed up by years of experience and stringent professional standards.”
Lynda has over 15 years’ experience of advising individuals and trustees on all aspects of tax, trust, estate and succession planning and was described by leading legal industry guide, the Legal 500, as “excellent – absolutely able, thorough, and efficient”.
“I’m delighted to be appointed as a STEP committee member and very proud of the fact that I’m one of just a handful of accredited practitioners in the Shropshire area”, said Lynda.
“Being part of this worldwide network gives me more opportunities to enhance my legislative knowledge and means I can provide my clients with the highest level of advice and expertise.
“As part of the branch committee, I’ll be focused on continuing and developing STEP’s mission to help drive higher standards in the Wills, Trust and Tax industry, as well as improving public understanding of the issues families face in relation to inheritance and succession planning.”
Working from Aaron & Partners’ Shrewsbury office, Lynda advises business owners, land owners and high net-worth individuals, helping to organise estates and efficiently manage inheritance tax. She is also highly experienced in the creation and administration of charitable trusts.
Aaron & Partners LLP is a top 200 law firm, employing more than 120 staff across its three offices, in Chester, Shrewsbury and Manchester and provides legal services to those who own, run or invest in businesses.
