Newton Aycliffe craft service invests over £100k into site and new recruits
Local craft supplier, Crafter’s Companion has invested more than £120k in a new digital platform.
The company has also recruited 13 employees to support its ongoing growth.
Following a sales growth of 38 per cent, with an export sales growth of 59 per cent in 2018, Crafter’s Companion has made investments in its ecommerce, social media and creative production operations.
Crafter’s Companion founder, Sara Davies, MBE, said: “We have seen phenomenal success throughout the past year and we wanted to invest in a new platform which reflects the direction Crafter’s Companion wants to take as a global craft supplier.
“Our head office team has been working tirelessly to ensure that the move to the new website has been as seamless as possible and it has been fantastic to have some new recruits on board to help us with the launch and to support our ongoing growth.
“We have completely transformed our website into an even better platform for both new customers and loyal crafters to enjoy and we are all extremely proud of the result.”
The new Magento 2.3 web platform, which includes rebuilt UK, US and brand-new EU consumer websites, is said to aid the company’s international growth strategy.
