London accountancy practice grows with Leeds firm merger
London practice C. C. Panayi & Co LLP has merged with Leeds accountancy firm Hentons to form Hentons Panayi as part of national expansion plans.
The merger follows 12 months of growth for business advisory specialist Hentons across North Yorkshire, with the opening of two new premises in York and Thirsk bringing the firm’s total up to five offices employing over 100 staff.
The London practice’s Camden Town base will give the newly formed Hentons Panayi firm a presence in the city, boosting its national expansion.
The new firm will combine Hentons knowledge of multi-skilled consultancy with C. C. Panayi & Co’s entertainment industry experience, the latter having worked domestic and international music artists since being founded in 1980.
Four times Brits winner and multi-million album selling artist Emeli Sandé described the newly merged firm as “more than just accountants”, saying: “They fully understand the importance that business management plays in the music industry.’’
Nadeem Ahmed, managing partner of Hentons, commented: “The move strengthens both teams by expanding geographical reach and providing a deeper mix of skill sets and experience. Hentons now strengthens its position as a UK top 100 accountancy firm with expertise covering a diverse range of sectors.”
