Moorish taste of Sicily coming to Fitzrovia this summer with new restaurant
Boutique hotel The Stafford London has announced the launch of its first independent restaurant project Norma in Fitzrovia this summer.
Situated in a converted townhouse on Charlotte Street, the contemporary-style establishment will comprise three floors of restaurant space, cocktail and crudos bars and private dining areas.
Led by The Stafford London’s culinary director and executive chef Ben Tish, Norma will specialise in Moorish influenced Sicilian cuisine, using authentic ingredients and seasonal produce to create a range of dishes.
Speaking about the new restaurant, Ben added: “I’m really excited about launching Norma with The Stafford team, as it’s a concept I’m passionate about and have been working on for a while.
“I’m intrigued by Sicily and the Moorish influences found in its culture and architecture, and Norma has been inspired by much time eating and drinking through this part of the world.”
Norma will be the latest addition to The Stafford’s growing hospitality offering, following the launch of The Game Bird in 2017 and the relaunch of the American Bar in 2018.
The Stafford London’s general manager, Stuart Procter said: “We are delighted to be launching Norma in the vibrant area of Charlotte Street.
“Norma will be a great addition to the already strong restaurant offering at The Stafford and we are looking forward to bringing the exceptional levels of service for which we are already known, to a brand-new concept and location.”
