Global artisan beer specialist expands into new Leeds development
World ale provider Beer Hawk has secured a 10-year lease on new premises in the city’s Towngate Link development as part of ongoing expansion.
Based in Wetherby, has chosen one of the newly constructed units at Towngate Link as a warehouse for its growing business of storing and distributing artisan beers from around the world.
Beer Hawk’s head of operations, Martin Rourke, explained: “Leeds was a primary focus for us, as it provides improved transport and staffing infrastructure, as well as enhanced welfare and leisure facilities.
“The site exceeds our expectations and certainly meets Beer Hawk’s vision for future growth.”
The two-storey 62,000 sq ft site, owned by industrial lettings specialist Towngate PLC, comprises a secure concrete yard and office space, as well as the option to install a further floor.
Towngate PLC’s property manager, Tom Lamb, said: “We are confident that the unit will work extremely well for Beer Hawk, as it is located on Leeds’ most established industrial estate, which is close to the motorway network. The configuration of the site – including dock and ground level loading facilities – will cater to all its needs.
“I am delighted that one of our new units will be occupied by Beer Hawk, and we’re excited to have this brand as part of our client portfolio.”
