London live-in care specialist acquired by Sodexo

International food services and facilities management group Sodexo has acquired live-in care specialist The Good Care Group.

Offering a range of services across sectors such as private, education, health and military, this acquisition will allow Sodexo to strengthen its UK care proposition alongside existing offering Prestige Nursing + Care.

Sarosh Mistry, CEO Sodexo Home Care Worldwide, said: “Both Sodexo and The Good Care Group share a common mission to help our consumers age in their homes as independently and comfortably as possible.

“This cultural alignment is key to Sodexo and it is its core values that makes The Good Care Group such a natural fit into Sodexo’s Worldwide Home Care business.”

Headquartered in London, The Good Care Group specialises in offering tailored live-in care across the country to assist independent living and meet complex needs.

The acquisition will see The Good Care Group and Prestige Nursing + Care brought together as Sodexo’s UK home care business, led by Prestige’s Jonathan Bruce as CEO and Good Care Group’s Belinda Berkeley as managing director.

Fiona Lowry, CEO of The Good Care Group added: “The Good Care Group mission is to provide the highest quality home care services, enabling people to enjoy staying in their own homes and community for as long as possible.

“Now as a part of Sodexo, we have a shared commitment to improving the quality of life of those we serve and expanding the care we can provide.”
