Freelance platform Fiverr launches micro-grant scheme for SMEs
Freelance platform Fiverr has launched a new monthly micro-grant to help UK SMEs grow by sourcing creative professionals for projects.
Businesses with fewer than 250 staff will be eligible for the £500 micro-grant every month, enabling them to source freelancers for creative projects such as copywriting, graphic design and marketing campaigns.
The micro-grant initiative follows the opening of the global firm’s first London office last month, with the company hoping to capitalise on the UK’s. growing freelancer market.
Andrew Wray, Fiverr’s UK country manager, commented: “Running a small business today means being an expert at everything, from marketing to sales to tech. It’s demanding and when extra hands are required, Fiverr provides easy access to affordable, high-quality freelance support.”
“We hope this micro-grant campaign goes a little way to helping some of the UK’s 5.9m small businesses thrive and strengthen their position as the backbone of the British economy.”
