Holland & Barrett high street debut for Dragons’ Den snack brand

Protein snack brand Oatein has made its debut on the UK high street in a deal with health food specialist Holland & Barrett.

Launching in over 400 Holland & Barrett stores across the country as well as online, Oatein aims to tap into the healthy snacks market.

The deal with the high-street health food specialist follows co-founders John Paul Gardner and Andy Dixon securing a £50k investment on Dragons’ Den in January 2019.

With an existing export market of over 55 countries, the Whitley Bay-based company hopes to capitalise on the brand’s media coverage and popularity to break into the UK market.

Oatein Co-founder John Paul Gardner commented: “We’re thrilled to be launching into Holland & Barrett as this is a store we have had our sights set on for quite some time.

“Following our success on Dragons’ Den, the response we have received has been phenomenal and more than we ever expected, and to partner with a high street heavyweight such as Holland & Barrett is an incredible achievement for us.”
