MADE.COM launches London tech innovation lab for startups
Design brand MADE.COM has announced the launch of new tech innovation base MADE Labs to support startups and emerging technologies.
Based at the company’s headquarters in Shoreditch, the MADE Labs team will work with growing startups to develop innovative product ideas, focused on enhancing customer experience by enabling them to visualise products in their own space.
Founded in 2010, MADE operates across the UK, Europe and Asia, specialising in homewares and furniture.
The launch of the lab follows MADE’s expansion of its flagship experiential showroom in Soho earlier this year, as well as the launch of an online interior design service using AI and 3D technology to create a photo-quality view of furnished rooms.
Chief technology officer at MADE, Jonathan Howell, said: “MADE’s entrepreneurial spirit is fundamental to our business strategy; as a digitally-native brand, being at the forefront of technological developments is a key priority.
“We are lucky enough to be based in the centre of one of the world’s best tech start-up communities. There are amazing things happening within those companies, and we want to stay true to our entrepreneurial roots and collaborate with these businesses to get their ideas in front of our customers.”
