60 new homes set for former South East London school site
Plans for a new residential development on a vacant former school site in Lewisham have been unveiled following its acquisition by developer Bellway London.
Previously home to Our Lady & St Philip Neri Infant School, the vacant site on the corner of Mayow Road and Acorn Way in Forest Hill will be transformed into a residential development of around 60 new apartments across three blocks.
Emma Hamlett, sales director for Bellway London, said: “We are delighted to have finalised the purchase of this new site in the popular residential area of Forest Hill.”
Following community consultation and the finalising of detailed plans for the site, Bellway London intend to submit an application to Lewisham Council for the a one, two and three-bedroom properties and commence work in due course.
Emma continued: “We’re confident that the apartments we will build here are just what people need and are looking for in this part of London and they will be ideal for professionals commuting into central London, for first-time buyers and downsizers alike.”
