Bradford City Exchange development reaches completion
Work has been completed on a mixed-use development in Bradford’s former City Exchange building.
Located next to City Hall and the interchange, the site has undergone a transformation into a mixed-use development comprising residential and business space.
Acquired for development by Barnsley firm The Investment Room for £2m in 2017, the 72,000 sq ft building is now home to 122 studio and one bed apartments, as well as refurbished commercial space.
The Investment Room’s sister company, letting specialist The Lettings Room, has relocated one of its offices to the commercial space in the new building, creating 15 jobs.
Lee Jones, director of The Investment Room, commented: “We have stripped the building back and completely remodelled it to create luxury apartments in this unbeatable location.
“It’s in the heart of the City and next to Bradford Interchange, making it ideal for people working in the City Centre, as well as people commuting to other major cities such as Leeds and Manchester. Bradford City Centre is undergoing a renaissance and the completion of this building will help this process.”
