Chef to bring Spanish ‘rice culture’ to London with new restaurant
Three Michelin starred Valencian chef Quique Dacosta will open his new restaurant Arros QD in Fitzrovia next month.
Focusing on the Spanish dish paella and what Quique calls ‘rice culture’, the eatery at 64 Eastcastle Street is due to open on June 7.
Set across two floors of a 9000 sq ft space, the restaurant has been designed by designed by Barcelona-based studio Lázaro Rosa-Violán, and will comprise four distinct areas including a lounge with bar seating, a dedicated paella counter and chef’s table.
Arros QD is the latest food establishment to open in the Fitzrovia area, which is increasingly becoming home to a range of world cuisine-inspired restaurants.
Speaking about the new venture, Quique commented: “Bringing our tradition and gastronomy to one of the main capitals in the world, both generally and gastronomically, is an exercise of commitment and responsibility which fills me with excitement”.
