Job site Indeed seeks to simplify shift hiring with acquisition of Syft

International job search site Indeed has acquired London-based Syft in a move that recognises increased demand for part-time and flexible work opportunities.

Accessible via desktop or mobile app, Syft was founded in 2015 and focuses primarily on jobs in the hospitality, events and light industrial sectors in the UK.

Both a recruitment platform and shift management tool, Syft allows jobskeekers to search for part-time and flexible work opportunities by connecting them with employers who have shifts available that match their skills and location.

Shift work for those such as chefs, baristas, packers, drivers and waiting staff can be advertised and managed via Syft.

Financial details of Indeed’s purchase of Syft have not been released but Syft’s founders and employees will continue to work out of their London headquarters along with the company’s regional offices.
