Bristol Street Motors Bolton spreads joy at children’s hospital

Bristol Street Motors Bolton Ford donated dozens of board games for the playroom at Bolton Children’s hospital after several fun fundraising events.

A ‘cracking’ egg and spoon race, hamper raffle and cake and pakora sale contributed to the money raised.

A wide range of fun toys and games were delivered to the ward by colleagues from the dealership to benefit the children and their families.

Lee Swindells, general manager at Bristol Street Motors Bolton Ford said: “It was such a pleasure to be able to go out and buy lots of things for the playroom at the children’s hospital.

“It must be incredibly tough for families when their children have to be admitted to hospital so if we can help to make the experience a little better then it’s really worthwhile.”

Andy Butler, matron on Children’s Ward at Royal Bolton Hospital, said: “We want to thank all the staff at Bristol Street Motors who contributed to the donation through the various activities they did. The children loved the games which included some timeless favourites like Buckaroo.

“No one wants to be in hospital. It can be especially hard for families, and the youngsters themselves, when a child has to spend long periods of time in a ward environment. It’s gifts like these that help us to make their day a little more special.”
