This week's North East appointments
Logan Cox, Caroline Lunn and Jack Gallacher, North P&I Club
Newcastle-based North P&I Club has further strengthened its IT team with the appointment of three new staff to support the company’s information technology strategy.
Logan Cox and Jack Gallacher have joined the 33-strong in-house IT team as infrastructure technicians and Caroline Lunn has joined as project manager.
Caroline Lunn has over 20 years of experience in IT roles across manufacturing, technology and service sectors, the last 10 of which in a project management role.
She is responsible for managing North’s business change projects, including the replacement of a number of key business systems.
Logan Cox has joined North’s Infrastructure team following the completion of his technical apprenticeship and experience as an applications analyst at the BPDTS Ltd.
He is responsible for supporting the team in the design and due diligence for new and changing technology, as well as providing technical assistance and creating and maintaining system documentation.
Jack Gallacher has also joined North’s Infrastructure team and his role is varied, with responsibilities including the maintenance of the core IT infrastructure and looking at ways to improve current IT systems. Jack previously worked as an assistant system engineer for Tata Consultancy Services.
Chris Slinn, NBS
NBS has appointed Chris Slinn as its new chief revenue officer.
He joins as the fourth executive director at NBS and will support the existing board. In this newly created role at NBS, Chris will lead on NBS’ worldwide sales growth.
Chris has experience of global sales and marketing strategy achievement within the construction sector, experience that has spanned a number of transformational years for the industry, including the move to cloud based offerings.
The appointment is a further extension of the continued investment in NBS, following the £31.8m investment in the business by LDC in 2018, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group.

Hannah Chapman, Hedley Planning Services
Local planning specialist Hedley Planning Services has appointed Hannah Chapman as assistant planner for its new Teesside and Yorkshire office.
The move will see Hannah working alongside director Stephen Litherland on growing the Wynyard-based operation, new business development and providing strategic planning support for residential and commercial clients across the region.
A graduate of Newcastle University, she will work closely with the senior management team as they oversee expansion and demand across Teesside and Yorkshire, particularly around the company’s strategic land promotion expertise.
She has been involved in planning applications for residential developments in Wynyard and securing approval for a 450,000 sq ft industrial estate at Urlay Nook Road in Eaglescliffe.
Stephen Litherland said further new roles will be created soon, adding: “Our clients will benefit from Hannah’s strategic insight and creative approach to finding sustainable solutions for developing estates, land and assets.
“She’s firmly committed to providing a quality service and will contribute to supporting existing and new clients with her valuable insight and expert advice.”
