Simmons set to 'bring the party' with third Soho cocktail bar

Hospitality firm Simmons Bars is expanding its presence in London’s West End by opening a new bar in Soho.

The 3,000 sq ft site at 4 Golden Square was acquired in a deal brokered by property management firm CDG Leisure.

The new bar will be the chain’s latest addition to its Soho portfolio, which includes venues in Poland Street and Bateman Street.

The move is part of the firm’s wider strategy to grow the cocktail chain to 30 London venues by the end of 2020.

Nick, CEO of Simmons, said: “CDG Leisure, who brokered the deal on our behalf, have secured a brilliant new site for our latest Simmons bar.

Speaking about plans for the venue, Nick continued: “The new venue will be given the trademark Simmons treatment; with school desks, neon lamps and all sorts of other oddments as well as plans for a basement excavation and a brand new function room.

“We’re looking forward to bringing the party to Golden Square.”

Sammy Weinbaum, director at CDG Leisure, added: “Golden Square is surrounded by excellent bars, restaurants and obviously a strong nightlife presence but Simmons has crafted out a niche in the market and is extremely popular wherever it goes.

“The group’s successful expansion is proving how active the bar sector is in a turbulent period for the food and beverage market.”
