Newcastle housing association to build 30 jobs for the North East
Gosforth-based Home Group is creating up to 30 new jobs for the region following its digital expansion plans.
One of the largest housing associations in the UK, Home Group is aiming to become more interactive with its digital consumers.
It is looking to recruit for various roles, from website developers and information architects to app developers and DevOps Engineers.
Taya Allen, digital development manager at Home Group, said: “We are going to be working at the cutting edge to ensure we reach our goals.
“That might surprise some people who don’t automatically associate housing associations operating at the forefront of new technology.
“But we are, and have been for some time, and we want to attract people who want to come with us on the fantastic journey.
“With such a large and diverse customer-base we need to ensure we’re supporting them in every way we can. This means thinking of new and innovative solutions that will directly impact people’s lives.
“Within our agile teams we tackle architecture, research, development, testing and more. We need people with ambition, fresh ideas and a passion for helping others to help shape the future of Home Group.”
The 30 positions - all based in the North East - are set to be recruited over the next nine months, playing a part in the organisation’s wider strategy to make Home Group’s position in the housing sector more prevalent.
Home Group supports nearly 120,000 customers across 55,000 properties in England and Scotland, which includes around 26,000 people with mental and physical health issues.
