Wakefield firm secures latest student accommodation contract
Facilities management firm B38 Group has been hired to deliver its services at a new student accommodation property in Aberdeen.
B38 Group was appointed to provide a range of planned and reactive maintenance services for purpose-built student accommodation provider Student Roost last summer, covering its portfolio of 49 properties.
Student Roost has added the new site, close to the University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University, to its collection, allowing B38 Group to continue growing its presence and experience in the education sector.
The company, based in Wakefield, offers a comprehensive facilities management operation for private sector clients and blue-chip organisations nationwide, and will be delivering mechanical and engineering, heating, ventilation and air conditioning services at the property in Pittodrie Street, Aberdeen.
Gareth Farmer, senior account manager for B38 Group, said: “Strategically, growing our presence in student accommodation and education is one of our core ambitions, so to be working with one of the largest providers is a real coup.
“Student Roost has established itself as a premium player in the PBSA sector, offering a safe and comfortable environment with 24-hour support to its residents. With our commitment to consistently providing high levels of service, we are proud to be working with the company and its people, helping to maintain a reputation for delivering top quality student living space and experiences.”
Colum Anglin, head of property services of Student Roost, said: “Having started working with B38 Group almost a year ago, we have been very impressed with their approach – they consistently take ownership of issues and operational challenges and ensure that they see them through to a satisfactory conclusion.
“It is essential that our FM services provider is sympathetic to our residents, ensuring they experience as little disruption as possible, and B38 Group has been able to do this. They have lived up to their promises and proved themselves to be a committed partner.
“We’re pleased to be extending our contract with them as we expand our portfolio and new properties go live.”
