Four new retailers to join Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre

Four new retailers are set to join the Meadowhall retail complex in Sheffield this summer.

Fashion retailer Hobbs, jewellery specialist Lovisa, Swedish children’s lifestyle brand Newbie and cosmetics firm Rituals are all joining the shopping centre.

Newbie will be opening its first UK store outside of London in a 900 sq ft unit, while Lovisa will showcase its latest fit-out concept in a 700 sq ft shop.

Retailers Rituals and Hobbs have already opened 1,000 sq. ft and 2,000 sq ft stores respectively in the Sheffield-based complex.

The news comes as Meadowhall, which is owned by British Land, records its twelfth consecutive month of year-on-year footfall growth.

Shane Fallscheer, MD and founder of Lovisa, commented: “Lovisa is very proud to announce the opening of our latest new store at Meadowhall shopping centre, a strategically important and significant centre.

“It’s a further step in the continued growth commitment of Lovisa in the UK market. We look forward to delivering to the customers our latest fit‐out concept along with the on-trend product offering the fashion savvy women are loving globally.”

Ben Grose, head of retail leasing at British Land, added: “Despite tough market challenges, Meadowhall continues to draw in exciting new brands and increasing numbers of shoppers, demonstrating the strong appeal of the best retail destinations.”
