At CBRE, Tom’s main responsibilities will include valuing a wide range of commercial assets for a mixture of banking, property company, REIT and private investor clients.

Michael Porter, senior director for the valuation team at CBRE Leeds, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tom on board.

“He brings a breadth of valuation experience across a range of sectors from retail, office and industrial, as well as expertise in residential and commercial development schemes and specialist market properties. He will be a great asset to the team.”

He will serve a further three years after his initial term ended in July 2019. The role of the IoD council is to ensure that the organisation delivers the objectives of its Royal Charter, manages key appointments and holds the board to account.

He has more than 30 years’ experience in business recovery, turnaround and insolvency.

Roger added: “The IoD provides a powerful voice for businesses and their leaders. I am honoured to contribute to matters of national policy through my role on the IoD Council.”
