Construction firm boosts growth into education sector with £1.3m school contract
A Pontefract construction company has started work on a £1.3m contract for one of North Yorkshire’s largest schools.
Harris CM has begun work on a roof restoration and fire safety project at South Craven School in Cross Hills.
Appointed by MAC Construction Consultants, Harris CM will replace sections of the roof as well as carry out fire safety improvements at the school.
Jason Adlam, CEO at Harris CM, explained: “This work will significantly improve the fabric of the main school building as well as ensuring its fire safety systems meet the highest standards possible.”
Kika Masters, premises manager at South Craven School, added: “This is a major project for us that will future proof our fire safety system and ensure our main building can continue to serve generations of students for years to come.
“The team from Harris CM are all extremely professional and knowledgeable. We are really enjoying working with them.”
The firm, which has a range of experience in experience in the retail and leisure sectors, hopes that the contract will build its reputation in the education industry and open up new opportunities in the future.
Jason continued: “Securing this contract is testimony to Harris CM’s ability to provide a competitively priced service whilst maintaining a safe working environment in a potentially hazardous school environment.
“It’s also a notable project to be working on as we continue to build our reputation in the education sector.”
