Over 80 new homes to be delivered at Pontefract's £21.8m Prince's Gate development
Regional housebuilder Avant Homes has commenced works to deliver its new £21.8m Prince’s Gate development in Pontefract on Longwall Road.
The eight-acre site will bring 89 new homes to the area with the development less than 2.5 miles away from Pontefract. It is also just over 11 miles from Wakefield.
Prince’s Gate will feature three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes across eight different housetypes, all including the housebuilder’s superior specification.
Alongside the new homes from Avant, a selection of homes have been designated for ‘affordable’ housing.
Avant Homes Yorkshire managing director, Chris Coley, said: “We’ve made a real investment in bringing new homes to Pontefract with a number of developments in recent years…
“I’m pleased that we’re able to continue that commitment to the town. We’ve seen with previous developments that there is a real demand for high-quality homes that are designed for modern family living in Pontefract.
“We are expecting Prince’s Gate to be hugely popular with a wide variety of buyers.”
The first properties are scheduled to be completed by January 2020, with the showhomes opening in November 2019.
Located on the former Prince of Wales Colliery, the site is the third parcel of land Avant Homes has acquired in Pontefract from land and property regeneration company Harworth Estates.
It is also the fourth development from the housebuilder in the town in four years.
As well as bringing 89 new homes to the area, the build programme will also create up 110 jobs for local tradespeople and contractors over the next two years.
Avant Homes Yorkshire is an operating company of the Avant Homes group, a private developer of residential property in the UK.
