Engineering firm lands sponsorship deal with Doncaster Rovers
A local mechanical and engineering firm has partnered with Doncaster Rovers FC to boost its brand exposure.
Family-run firm MechFS has been named as the new West Stand sponsor of the club, and will see its branding displayed at the club’s home ground Keepmoat Stadium.
Based in Doncaster, MechFS specialises in providing technology-led design, manufacture and install solutions, such as bespoke air conditioning, heating and plumbing systems, to the construction industry.
The sponsorship follows the news of the firm’s expansion into Germany, as well as the opening of a new office in Leeds.
As well as branding the West Stand at the Keepmoat Stadium, the firm will be working closely with the club on its community initiatives over the next two years, including the Club Doncaster Foundation.
Paul Sutherland, CEO at MechFS, explained: “We’re thrilled to be announced as Doncaster Rovers’ new West Stand sponsor. It’s an honour to support our local football club and to see our name standing proud at the stadium.
“MechFS was founded here in the borough just over a decade ago and we’ve remained loyal to our Doncaster roots ever since, creating jobs and inward investment for the region as we’ve expanded across the UK and into Europe.
“The club has a strong sense of community – something very important to us here at MechFS – so we’re looking forward to working with the team there to build further on this in the months to come.”
Jon Warburton, head of commercial at Club Doncaster, added: “We’re excited to welcome MechFS as our new West Stand sponsor.
“The company is a true credit to Doncaster, growing rapidly and supporting the local community, too. It’s great to be helping them raise their profile further, through this partnership with Doncaster Rovers FC.”
