Union Rooms welcomes new general manager
A POPULAR North East bar and kitchen has appointed a new general manager to lead the team.
Chloe Fawcett brings more than a decade of experience in the hospitality sector to her new role at the Union Rooms, at Westgate Road, Newcastle.
Having held managerial positions at a number of Newcastle’s top bars, along with Marbella’s Bijoux Banus, Chloe then went on to open her own clean-eating deli in 2016.
And after selling the business earlier this year, she is delighted to take on a new challenge at the bar and kitchen.
“I like to be kept on my toes and the Union Rooms is a really diverse venue, which is what attracted me to the position,” said Chloe.
“From weddings, to parties, to match days, there’s plenty to keep busy with and I’m really enjoying getting stuck in.”
Stuart Young, of Cyclone Leisure, which owns the Union Rooms, said: “Chloe ticked all the boxes when it came to what we were looking for.
“She has a wealth of experience in the sector and the knowledge and skills Chloe brings from her previous positions will be invaluable to the business going forward.”
