Yorkshire app developer invests in growth by seeking new talent

Leeds-based app development specialist, Pocketworks, is investing in its continued growth by seeking new talent to join its team.

At an exciting time for Yorkshire, when it is increasingly becoming a digital and technological powerhouse, Pocketworks is keen to invest in existing and attract new talent to the region.

It has been a successful few months for the company, which has gained six new staff, won new clients in a range of sectors and secured bigger projects. Further growth ambitions mean Pocketworks is looking to snap up some of the outstanding expertise in the region. It is also keen to support young people wanting to get into tech through apprenticeships.

Managing Director, Tobin Harris, said: “There has never been a better time to be in the tech scene in Yorkshire, and in Leeds especially. We’ve had some great results this year and recognise that in order to continue growing we need to expand our team to keep up with the digital-first approach many businesses are adopting.

“With so much competition across the region, employees have so many choices available to them in the digital sphere, but app development is still in a growth period. Many companies are seeking to implement more efficient business practices, increase sustainability by minimising paper usage and create new revenue streams using apps or digital products.

“We know there’s incredible talent already in the area, and looking to move to the region, so we’re keen to snap these great people up while we can!”

Pocketworks is currently on the lookout for an Android Developer and a Full Stack Web Developer, with more roles imminent. It’s also open to apprenticeships, wanting to play its part in giving back to the region.

Pocketworks specialises in developing mobile apps for businesses to drive efficiency and grow sales.
