£3m West Yorkshire business park set to welcome two new firms

A £3m business park in West Yorkshire is set to welcome new businesses following the completion of two deals.

Aluminium and glazing specialist HWA and hose manufacturer PTFE Flex are both set to join the Bridge Business Park in Huddersfield after securing units.

HWA has taken 18,000 sq ft in Units 2 and 3 at the park, while PTFE Flex is moving into the 7,000 sq ft Unit 1.

The 2.73 acre park, which is situated next to the headquarters of Mamas & Papas in Colne Bridge, was developed by local property company Frank Marshall Estates after it acquired the land in 2015.

Terence ‘Chad’ Chadwick, managing director of PTFE Flex, explained: “[Frank Marshall Estates] helped us at our previous premises at Wellington Park Business Park in Bradford, which they own, and have supported us as our business has expanded.

“Ultimately we have outgrown our base at Wellington Park and moving to the Bridge Business Park seemed the obvious solution. We trust Edward and Jimmy Marshall of Frank Marshall Estates completely and it made perfect sense to move to their state-of-the-art new business park.

“The look and quality of our new building is superb, which fits in perfectly with our aspirations for the company. The location, meanwhile, is perfect. So it’s just right for us, providing an excellent base from where we can continue to expand and flourish.”

The firms will join specialist pet food wholesaler and distributor Sniffers Pet Care, which has already taken 6,250 sq ft of industrial space at the business park.

Edward Marshall of Frank Marshall Estates commented: “We are delighted with these two new deals, which means the park is almost full only a year after completion. It is a pleasure to welcome our two new tenants.

Jonathan O’Connor of West Yorkshire property consultancy Walker Singleton, who are marketing the site for Frank Marshall Estates, added: “The success of the Bridge Business Park is well-deserved.

“The quality of the units is exceptional, with superb workmanship. It was brave of Frank Marshall Estates to develop speculatively, but that decision has paid off handsomely.”
