Virgin Money ready to slash 100 jobs in Newcastle office
Virgin Money is set to cut 100 jobs at its Gosforth office.
This is said to be in line with the group’s ‘restructure’ across its UK sites.
In 2018, the company was taken over by CYBG. A total of 330 jobs are now at risk across the CYBG group - 100 of those will be axed at the bank’s Gosforth site.
There are said to be over 2,000 employees at the bank’s Newcastle office.
A spokesperson for Virgin Money said that the bank remains “committed to the Gosforth office” despite the major cuts. It has no plans for closure of the site.
