Call for Papers: BIM Show Live 2020
BIM Show Live has issued a Call for Papers for its 2020 event which will be held on 26-27 February 2020 at the Boiler Shop in Newcastle, UK.
The annual two day conference attracts up to 400 delegates to the region and provides a unique opportunity for built environment professionals to exchange knowledge on the emerging ideas and technological advancements in digital construction and beyond.
Event attendees benefit from 32 seminar sessions and four high profile keynote speakers discussing the latest trends, innovations and exciting new projects.
The North East has developed a strong reputation as an international hub for digital construction. It is home to specialist BIM companies and organisations such as bimstore, NBS and the BIM Academy, and BIM Show Live has been held in Newcastle for the past four years.
The Call for Papers process launched today will be used to source speakers for BIM Show Live 2020. There are four specific content streams, which have been revealed as:
-
Technology This stream is about how you’re applying today’s technology to your businesses and projects to achieve positive results, how you’re staying ahead of the curve and making a real difference, and how you’re applying innovation to transform outcomes.
-
Next generation This stream is all about the ideas that have the power to disrupt, to challenge what we do today, and the ones that excite. It’s about the technology that has caught your attention and what the future might hold.
-
People This stream is to highlight the movers and shakers of the industry. Which groups are making a difference and what amazing things have people achieved? It’s about the processes you’ve adopted, projects you’ve delivered and ways you are inspiring others.
-
Stories This stream is about the practical application of ideas. To tell real life stories about project successes and failures – what you did, how you did it and what you learned.
If you would like to submit a paper for one or more of the above streams and be considered as an event speaker at BIM Show Live 2020, visit the BIM Show Live website, and provide a brief session synopsis along with supporting information. The deadline for submissions is 7 November 2019.
Rob Charlton, CEO of Space Group and co-founder of BIM Show Live said, “The construction sector has travelled a long way in the last ten years. Now we have fantastic models full of data, the big question is, what’s next?
“BIM Show Live is the platform for the industry to look ahead, to forecast, plan and also challenge what we see coming around the corner. From smart technologies to AI, the future continues to look incredibly expansive. That’s why BIM Show Live 2020 will be as stimulating and thought provoking as ever.”
James Austin, Construction Industry Strategist for Autodesk and one of the co-founders of the event said: “Our vision has always been to bring the best in class to BIM Show Live. Through the Call for Papers we want to hear your real life stories, how you are changing the industry and what the future holds for digital construction and beyond.”
