Packaging company unwraps new UK Head of Sales

A MIDLANDS packaging specialist, whose annual turnover is poised to reach record heights, has created a new role to spearhead its future growth.

allpack®, based at Aldridge, near Walsall, has appointed Nigel Elton as its inaugural Head of Sales.

Among the household names that feature on its growing portfolio of blue chip clients are Dunelm, Travis Perkins, Wickes, Mazda and Volvo.

Nigel brings to the family firm, celebrating its 25thanniversary, a track record of UK and international sales success spanning more than two decades.

allpack® Managing Director George Clarke said: “We are thrilled to welcome someone of Nigel’s calibre as the newest member of our team..

“This is an important new role within allpack®, which will focus on developing and leading our sales team.

“Nigel is a professional through and through, with an impressive record in delivering growth for companies such as Ferrari and Maserati, as well as the audio branding providers PHMG, where he was Director of Business Development.”

Nigel said: “allpack® has a deserved reputation as one of the leading packaging specialists in the UK.

“We have a tremendous opportunity to grow further and continue to diversify into new sectors, bringing our strong business values and service delivery to match the demands and high expectations of our clients.

“I am excited to be on board and part of a great team of home-grown talent – one which will take both the company and our packaging partners into a new era.”

On the back of a raft of new client wins, allpack® packaging is now on the verge of seeing its annual turnover reach record heights.

The achievement is a far cry from the company’s early days, when it was launched by founder Jim Clarke from the back office of his accountancy practice in Chester Road, Sutton Coldfield.

It now employs 50 people and its warehouse capacity has grown to over 50,000 sq ft. With more than 5,000 lines of different packaging products, it now supplies customers every year with over 10,000 tonnes of film, 600 sq m of tape, and 100,000 kilometres of strapping – enough to go around the world two-and-a-half times.
