Northumberland architecture firm builds on Teesside growth with new office

An architecture firm has launched its new office in Teesside after securing a number of projects in the area.

Seymour Architecture has opened its second office in the Boho 5 development in Middlesbrough in order to strengthen its presence in the town.

Based in Morpeth, the firm specialises in the design of residential developments and co-working spaces, and has been working on a number of projects in the Teesside area prior to its new office launch.

Having completed the handover of two centre square office buildings to Ashall Property and a student residential scheme for a private developer, the firm is also currently working on plans for Boho 8 on behalf of Middlesbrough Council.

The Boho 8 project will provide additional space to accommodate demand for individual office space, comprising 10,000 sq ft provided in modular units built off-site. A planning application is scheduled for mid-November, with the units expected to be ready for occupation by the end of August 2020.

Paul Seymour, managing director of Seymour Architecture, commented: “Working for and in Middlesbrough has been a really gratifying experience.

We really enjoy working in a town where there are so many exciting initiatives being delivered by the council and private initiatives.

“Following our appointment on another small commission for Middlesbrough we decided to invest the fee back into the Town by taking office space in Boho 5. The new plans for the Boho Zone were a compelling reason to be located at its heart.”
