Vision of Newcastle Building Society’s new branch unveiled
A soon-to-open building society branch in Hawes will release a computer simulation of how the project will look once it’s completed.
Newcastle Building Society announced plans earlier this year to launch a new community branch in the Upper Wensleydale Community Office in the town’s Market Place, which is set to open before the end of the year.
It has now released a CGI fly-through revealing exactly how the new branch will look when it opens in early December. It is being launched as part of a wider strategy to change how the Society delivers its services to towns and communities.
The CGI will go on display as part of an information stand at the Community Office from November 6, with a member of the Society team on hand to provide information for prospective new and existing customers of its key products and services.
Newcastle Building Society is more than two thirds of the way through a branch improvement programme to improve facilities in every part of its existing branch network, open in new locations and adapt its approach to suit local needs for each store.
Stuart Miller, customer director at Newcastle Building Society, said: “The response to the announcement of our plans to invest in Hawes has been extremely positive, and as part of moving the new branch forward, we wanted to give local people a detailed idea of what’s coming their way later in the year.
“We’re fully committed to finding innovative ways to maintain and enhance our presence on high streets across the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria, and to ensuring we provide face-to-face local financial services and financial advice across these locations.
“Hawes is a wonderful example of everything that a vibrant thriving rural community can be, and we’re excited to be investing in it to further enhance its long-term sustainable success.”
