Brand new Starbucks site in Alnwick creates 20 local jobs
The first drive-thru Starbucks store in Alnwick has opened today (November 7) in Willowburn Retail Park.
The store, operated by Starbucks licensee 23.5 Degrees, will create 20 new jobs for the local area.
The store is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:45pm today to mark the opening.
It will be attended by the Duchess of Northumberland Jane Percy; Mayor of Alnwick Lynda Wearn; chairperson of the Alnwick Chamber of Trade Lisa Aynsley; and representatives from the store’s charity partner, HospiceCare North Northumberland.
There are coffee samplings being held throughout the day, and customers are invited to sample food and drinks from the Starbucks menu.
Victoria Madison, store manager, said: “We are very excited to join the Alnwick community and look forward to meeting and serving customers.
“We are proud to support HospiceCare North Northumberland, which is a charity close to our hearts and is the main provider of free palliative care in North Northumberland.”
This Starbucks store is located at Willowburn Avenue, Willowburn Retail Park in Alnwick.
