Teesside firm expands with acquisition of Yorkshire refrigeration specialist
An air conditioning company in Teesside has announced its acquisition of a North Yorkshire based firm as part of its ongoing growth.
Aircon Group, which is based in Thornaby, has acquired Allied Refrigeration in order to strengthen its reach across the Yorkshire region and diversify its offering.
Founded in 1984, Ripon-based Allied Refrigeration specialises in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning, focusing on the agricultural and hospitality industries.
Steve Farrell, managing director of Aircon Group, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Allied Refrigeration to the Aircon Group family.
“The move will broaden the range of services we are able to provide to our customers as well as give us access to new industries and markets.”
Aircon Group, which was founded in 1963, hopes to build on the growth with further opportunities in 2020.
Steve added: “It’s an exciting time for Aircon Group and we’re looking forward to growing the company even further next year.”
