Orbit customer in running for Inspired Space office interior award

Corporate event agency, Make Events, who moved into Orbit Developments’ Bollin House property in Wilmslow in April, has seen its investment in a show-stopping interior pay off with a prestigious award nomination.

The interior – dubbed the House of Make – is up for a Prolific North Inspired Space Award.

This year marks Inspired Spaces North’s fourth time of recognising the finest workspaces in the region. Make Events is one of 20 which made an initial shortlist. A public vote will whittle these down to a final 10 which will be revealed – as well as the winner – at an awards party later this month.

Make Events describe the new interior as a visual representation of them as a business and want the space to be used for work and play and to give the ultimate experience for clients, staff and suppliers.

The agency believes an inspiring work space is proven to be essential in increasing employee engagement, talent attraction and boosting creativity.

The ‘House of Make’ has an auditorium lined with illustrations of each team member, a ‘Make Events Coffee Shop’ where staff and guests can help themselves to a constantly topped up fridge of goodies and a dressing room decked out with a light up vanity mirror and drawers stocked full of beauty products.

Hidden inside the dressing room is a space completely dedicated to Mrs Hinch, an online sensation who shares her cleaning hacks on Instagram. There is also a creative corner, press wall and fitness studio.

Award-winning interior designer Toni Horsfield has led the transformation.

James Nicholson, Leasing Assistant from Orbit Developments said they wished Make Events every success in the competition: “They have seriously invested in the interior at Bollin House and transformed it into something quite extraordinary, which totally supports their culture and values. It has been great to see what is possible with our office space and we are very proud to be associated with it.”
