Commercial Maintenance Services UK Ltd invests in safety training for expanding Scottish team
Commercial Maintenance Services (CMS) UK Ltd has put its expanding Scottish team of engineers through its extensive gas compliance and electrical safety training.
The team, which covers an area stretching from Stranraer in the south to Wick in the north, provides mechanical and electrical engineering services for a range of commercial clients.
The engineers, all of whom are based in Scotland and directly employed by CMS, are involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of business-critical building systems, including heating, plumbing, electrical and air conditioning.
Geoff Jubb, Technical Manager (Scotland), said the team has recently grown from eight to ten in response to a growing client list.
Prominent clients in Scotland include food wholesalers Bookers and Makro, information management company Iron Mountain and Sanctuary Scotland, one of the country’s leading housing associations with more than 6,500 homes, as well CMS national contracts including Travelodge, Four Seasons Healthcare and Nuffield.
Geoff said: “All our in-house engineers are fully accredited, and it is essential they are kept up to date with the latest regulations and issues surrounding gas and electrical safety.
“CMS is dedicated to maintaining the highest of standards by ensuring all our engineers are fully invested in safety so that our clients can have complete confidence in their abilities.
“We recently added two engineers to the team in response to our growing list of clients in Scotland, so it’s important everyone has the same high level of expertise in an industry where technology, regulations and processes can change so rapidly.”
“It was unusual to have the team, who are normally spread throughout Scotland, together in one room for a change!
Nic Smith, co-founder of CMS, added: “We don’t use sub-contractors or sub-contract any work out so we can guarantee that our engineers are fully trained and have industry specific qualifications. This training is just part of that process.”
