Vivacious grandmother takes control of busy life and launches new business venture
A former market researcher with a zest for life and an appetite for adventure is launching her oven valeting business, Ovenu Codsall.
Jackie Meredith has spent the last 13 years as market researcher with IRi, a data analytics company, specialising in retail. Her role included product price checking over 4,000 products with an emphasis on ensuring the validity of promotions, like buy one get one free.
Jackie, who thoroughly enjoyed her time as a market researcher, said: “I like to have variety in my work life and enjoy meeting different people and visiting different places.
“The Ovenu oven cleaning franchise offers me everything I’m looking for in terms of being my own boss, having an enjoyable and varied work schedule and creating a healthy work life balance that’s under my control.”
Outside of work Jackie, who is from Codsall, near Wolverhampton, enjoys a very full life including volunteering for several organisations, yoga and spending time with her ever increasing family. She already has five grandchildren and is excitedly awaiting the birth of identical twin boys in the very near future.
Jackie is focused on building up a loyal customer base for Ovenu Codsall but has plans to expand as her business grows.
She added: “This is a fantastic opportunity and allows me to build on the attention to detail gained when ensuring price and product accuracy for various retailers.”
“I will be expanding my skill set and look forward to running my own business.”
Rik Hellewell, founder and managing director of Ovenu, said: “Jackie’s thirst for a new and varied work life alongside her many transferable skills will make Ovenu Codsall a huge success.
“I wish to welcome her to the Ovenu network and look forward to working with her to support her future growth plans.”
Ovenu Codsall serves homes and businesses throughout the town, as well as the surrounding areas.
