Kathryn Wright Appointed as CEO of Discount Vouchers
Money saving deals website, DiscountVouchers.co.uk, has announced the appointment of Kathryn Wright as CEO.
With more than half a million subscribers signed up to receive the best deals available, Discount Vouchers gives customers a huge range of offers from both major and independent retailers. The website features money saving deals in categories including clothing, travel, entertainment, home, restaurants, beauty and gifts.
Having previously been Managing Director at Discount Vouchers in 2013, Kathryn spent some time away working to help start-ups in an operational capacity, but has now returned as owner and CEO.
Kathryn has a wealth of experience in both the retail sector and online operations. After university, she worked her as sales manager in the retail sector, but with the increase of online shopping, Kathryn turned her attention to Blurtit.com, a Q&A website where people ask questions and a community of regular users provide answers. At its peak, Blurtit.com had 16 million unique visitors a month and was in the top 200 visited sites in the world.
In her new role as CEO, Kathryn will work with her dedicated team based in Norfolk to further drive awareness of the brand, increase subscribers, and continue to develop relationships with retailers across a diverse range of categories.
Commenting on her new position, Kathryn said: ’With the current power of online shopping, this is a really exciting time to be heading up the company. I am looking forward to establishing DiscountVouchers.co.uk as a leading platform in providing the best deals out there, as well as using the platform to exhibit smaller independents and bringing the power of our subscribers to artisans and creators. We have been really busy setting up some fantastic offers over December and January, so we encourage people to keep their eyes peeled.“
