Newcastle marketing agency boosts 2020 operations with major recruitment drive

Pharmaceutical and life sciences marketing agency ramarketing is launching a new recruitment initiative in the region following record growth of 75 per cent during 2019.

To support global demand for its industry-specific expertise, the company is looking to add 10 new members of staff to its team across PR, content, design and digital.

The agency opened its first US office in Boston this year, spearheaded by its founder Raman Sehgal.

Founder Raman, who started ramarketing from his Gateshead flat in 2009, said: “This year has been an incredible year for us and we’re really proud of what we’ve managed to achieve as a team.

“From very humble beginnings, we’ve become a multi-million-pound global agency that supports some of the biggest names in the drug development market and proudly employs many people in the North East, North West and the US.”

Raman added: “As our industry reputation has continued to grow, we’ve been able to attract some major clients and exciting new projects.

“It’s genuinely exciting for our team to be able to work with clients from the Far East across to the West Coast of the US.

“This is very unusual for a Newcastle-headquartered agency but with our growing presence in the US market, we’re expecting this to continue.”

Over the past year, the company has made several investments including the creation of a senior leadership team that includes Emma Banks, Barry Goddard and pharmaceutical entrepreneur Fiona Cruickshank OBE.
