First Three Joes Pizzeria in the North Opens at Meadowhall

Hundreds of people are expected to flock to a new pizzeria at Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield.

30 jobs have been created at the new Three Joes Sourdough Pizza, which opened in November, the first of this fast-growing chain to appear in the North of England. Their other two restaurants, both in Hampshire, have given them Number One Pizza restaurant status on Trip Advisor – and they are delighted to bring their down-to-earth ethos to Yorkshire.

Three Joes Partner Emma Blackmore, an accomplished chef, says she and her co-partners Tim Hall and Peter Bruton, who have all worked for some of the most successful restaurant chains, have created a unique menu that is affordable for everyone. In fact, all the pizzas are between five and ten pounds. And they say they are so confident in their offering they have decided to give 1500 free pizzas to diners over 5 weeks to celebrate their arrival in Yorkshire.

“We want to introduce ourselves to the area properly and wish everyone a Happy New Year – and what better way to do this than by giving away over a thousand free pizzas. We want everybody to give us a go and make their own minds up about our food. The price is your email address and a promise to write about us on social media if you like it.”

Three Joes make their sourdough in the restaurant every day from scratch and cook everything in their wood-fired oven. Emma continued:

“We really wanted to make the move up North and we could see, after speaking with Meadowhall, that our ethos would fit perfectly with customers here. No-one else in the area is offering fresh sourdough pizza, with such unique toppings, so we knew everyone would love it, and this has been proven by a busy festive season.”

“So, if you are lucky enough to get a table (no free takeaways) you can order any full-sized pizza on the menu completely free of charge every Wednesday evening until Valentine’s Day. No tricks, no Ts & Cs, just one free pizza per person to the first 300 people who eat in the restaurant. So that’s 1500 free pizzas in total over the 5 weeks. Do come along. We can’t wait to meet you.”

“We only opened our first restaurant three years ago and we hope that the lovely people of Sheffield and the surrounding areas give us a try. We’re just three average Joes. No venture capitalists or corporations or city investors. Just three people who love food. We’re proud to be an independent pizzeria and we’re proud to open in Sheffield. And if all goes as well as we expect, we plan to open more restaurants in Yorkshire in the near future.”
