Specialist recruitment agency relocates to 'transforming' North East city
A specialist recruitment agency has found its new home in a North East city currently undergoing multi-million pound regeneration.
Pareda Recruitment has relocated from its original base in North Shields to offices in Sunderland Software Centre in the heart of the city.
Founded 18 months ago by Paul Brown and Rebecca Hutchinson, Pareda Recruitment specialises in sourcing talent for the engineering, manufacturing, energy, contact centre, financial services, fintech and professional services sectors.
Rebecca commented: “It’s now been 18 months since we founded Pareda Recruitment and the company has continued to go from strength-to-strength ever since.
“We doubled in size last year and are on target to achieve similar levels of growth for the year ahead, it’s been an amazing journey so far.”
Pareda chose Sunderland as the location for its new base after seeing the city’s high profile developments such as Riverside Sunderland, the International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) and the expansion of Port of Sunderland.
Paul explained: “We reached the point where we knew we were going to have to invest in our own dedicated office space if we were to continue growing and as soon as we met the team at Sunderland Software Centre, we knew it was the perfect place for us.
Cllr Graeme Miller, leader of Sunderland City Council, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Paul and Rebecca to the city and are thrilled to hear that they’re already seeing their business grow as a result.
“Sunderland is transforming. The City Plan captures our ambitions through to 2030, and the Council’s current capital programme confirms that over £400m will be invested in the city over the next four years.”
