North East firm boosts renewable energy footprint with latest acquisition

A North East-based appliance repair service has acquired a local firm in order to support its growing presence in the renewable energy market.

Pacifica Home Services, which is based in Houghton-le-Spring near Sunderland, has completed its acquisition of Oakes Energy Services, following an 18-month long partnership with the firm.

Established in 2007 by former Newcastle Falcons player Jason Oakes and industry professional Derek Dowson, Oakes specialises in a range of domestic and commercial energy solutions.

Phil Pallister, managing director of Pacifica Home Services, commented: “Oakes Energy Services is a high quality, reliable business built on expert industry knowledge and experience, which is a welcome addition to Pacifica Home Services.

“For the past 18 months we have worked closely with Jason and Derek, who are exceptionally well-respected in the renewable energy market, and have been impressed with the growth of the business.

“Now, as a fully-integrated part of Pacifica Home Services we can develop the business further and support our strategy of embracing cutting-edge energy efficient technology.”

Jason Oakes added: “We are very proud to be part of Pacifica Home Services and help its customer base further benefit from the technology we provide to make the most of the alternative energy resources available for domestic and commercial properties.

“The renewable energy market is continuing to grow and being part of Pacifica Home Services will help us take advantage of the opportunities the market is creating, particularly as the housing and commercial property markets focus on utilising low-carbon heating solutions.”
