Leeds transport company expands Southern presence with new facility
A Leeds-based event transport firm has strengthened its national footprint with the opening of a new facility in the South West.
Stagefreight has launched its new site at Hill Barton Business Park in Exeter in order to serve its growing client list in the south of the country.
Headquartered in Leeds, the firm specialises in providing transport for the likes of Opera North and Northern Ballet as well as corporate clients.
The new Stagefreight south facility will have a fleet of trucks dedicated to Stagefreight’s clients across the south, southwest, Wales and the South Midlands.
Stagefreight’s director, Ian Uttley, commented: “We are all very excited about this new venture.
“Our new Exeter premises reflect Stagefreight’s continued success and the trust our existing clients place in our abilities.”
Stagefreight has hired music transport professional Ross Hemsworth to establish the Exeter facility.
Ross added: “Stagefreight’s new southern facility enables me to better support existing clients here, thanks to the great service Stagefreight offers. It also means I can grow the Stagefreight brand here, and provide Stagefreight’s diverse transport services to a bigger audience than ever before.
“This new facility offers me a stimulating mix of responsibilities. I’m sure that I’ll be drawing on all of my prior experience going forward, and I can’t wait for this new chapter in my career to begin.”
