New manufacturing facility for North East firm thanks to six-figure inward investment
A North East manufacturer is set for expansion after investing over £500k in expanding its team and creating a new facility.
Apex Wiring Solutions has invested in the creation of a new manufacturing plant at its base in Littleburn Industrial Estate just outside Durham City.
The facility will focus on the manufacture of the firm’s proprietary prefabricated utility cupboard (PUC) known as Apex Core, which serves as a central hub for heating, ventilation, electrical, communication and metering services.
In addition, the firm has expanded its workforce with a new team of specialists to oversee operations at the site.
Contracts manager James Moore, production manager Paul Cooper and production supervisor Kaspars Netlis will oversee design, development and production of the new Product.
Paul commented: “When we discussed the project with Mike and Dave, it was clear they had a clear vision for the Apex Core and were willing to back it with considerable investment.
“It was a no-brainer for us to get on board. We’ve spent the last six years developing PUCs, now we will be perfecting them and launching them on the market.”
