Brixton mixed-use space acquired by property specialist in £38.1m deal
Property specialist Derwent London has announced it has acquired the freehold interest of an eleven-storey building in Brixton.
The firm has exchanged contracts to acquire Blue Star House on Stockwell Road for £38.1m before costs.
Covering 53,750 sq ft, the building comprises multi-let office space as well as restaurant and leisure units at the ground level.
The firm has said there is scope to redevelop the site over the next few years into a larger scheme.
Paul Williams, chief executive at Derwent London, commented: “We are delighted to have acquired Blue Star House and added Brixton as a location within our portfolio.
“With its excellent connectivity to the West End, we see this as an exciting addition to our substantial development pipeline.”
