Lloyds Bank grows support for North West businesses with senior appointments
North West businesses are set to gain additional specialised support following the expansion of Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking’s business development team in the region.
The expansion sees the appointment of business development directors, Sara Sell and Toby Biollo, who will further grow the bank’s support for firms with turnovers between £3 and £100 million. They are joined by David Sacca who will increase customers’ access to Lloyds Bank’s commercial finance solutions. David joins from RBS.
The trio add to Lloyds Bank’s already considerable North West footprint and a commitment to lend up to £1.3billion to businesses in the region in 2020.
Together with business development manager Chris Beech, large corporate business development director Christopher Yau and head of business development Richard McKay, the team will offer a wide range of services, including tailored funding solutions for firms across all sectors.
The business development team will also work alongside Glenn Bemment, head of mid-corporates in the North, and Martyn Kendrick, regional director for SME banking in the North West.
Nick Laird, managing director for SME and mid-corporate in the North at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “The growth of the business development team is part of our ongoing plan to help Britain prosper, and comes at a time when efforts to rebalance the economy and bring greater prosperity to the North are of national priority.
“Lloyds Bank has a long history of supporting entrepreneurial talent in the North West and, as such, we’ve developed the breadth of funding models to match the commercial ambitions of business owners – be they investing in the financial growth, international relationships or sustainable footprint of their business.
“These appointments will enable us to take that support to the next level as our regional network of more than 70 relationship managers and directors remain by the side of North West businesses in 2020 and beyond.”
