Sunderland tech company expands global reach with digital firm acquisition
A North East technology business has grown its international footprint with the acquisition of a global digital company.
Sunderland-based Saggezza has formed a new division - Saggezza Digital - after acquiring web development agency Communisis Digital.
Founded in 1995, Communisis Digital provides outsourced development support to web and digital agencies, helping build complex microsites and apps.
The acquisition has seen an additional 10 people join the Saggezza business, and Suhail Ahmed has joined the firm to lead the new division.
Martin Williams, UK managing director at Saggezza, commented: “Communisis Digital was a great company with a fantastic and highly-skilled team and we’re delighted to be able to welcome them into the Saggezza family.
“Saggezza is a company in growth mode and we’re excited to see what the future holds.
“Over the last year, we’ve doubled our headcount in our UK head office in Sunderland and have similar ambitions for the year ahead as we continue growing.”
