Hotel operator selected for Sheffield's Heart of the City II project
An international hotel brand has been named by Sheffield City Council as the chosen operator for its flagship Heart of the City II hotel.
Radisson Blu, part of the Radisson Hotel Group, has been chosen to anchor the scheme in the centre of Sheffield.
The new hotel will sit in a Victorian building at the top of Pinstone Street in the project’s Block A section, and is expected to comprise over 150 rooms.
Developed by Sheffield City Council and its strategic delivery partner, Queensberry, Block A sits between Pinstone Street, Burgess Street and Barker’s Pool, and is already home to banking giant HSBC.
The site is also set to welcome international law firm CMS to an office space later in the year.
In addition to retail units at street level, the scheme will also feature 45,000 sq ft of office or residential space.
