Malton fuel depot opens to the public following £400k investment
A fuel depot in North Yorkshire has undergone a refurbishment worth more than £400k allowing it to open to the public for the first time.
Stones Fuel Oils situated on York Road Industrial Estate in Malton, has undergone a six-figure transformation including increasing its fuel storage capacity and refurbishing its offices and wider site.
Owned by Rix Petroleum, the family firm was acquired in 2017 and has undergone the refurbishment in response to customer feedback.
In addition, the firm has ordered two new Scania tankers to be delivered later in the year as part of its ongoing growth plan.
Managing director Duncan Lambert commented: “As a fifth-generation family firm with proud Yorkshire roots, our success has been built on becoming part of the communities we serve and providing the best customer service and support we possibly can.
“This is what we aim to do in Malton; become a valued member of the community and ensure that our customers know they can rely on us for all their fuel, lubricant and heating needs.”
