Letting specialist launches build-to-rent scheme at Horsforth's 'oldest pub'
A new build-to-rent scheme five miles north-west of Leeds city centre is set to officially launch.
Local property firm Pickard Properties has announced the launch of its newest development, The Masons on the Green in Horsforth.
The firm purchased the Black Bull Inn, which dates back to 1654, and has transformed it into a residential scheme comprising five loft-style apartments and three adjoining townhouses.
Four one-bed apartments have been created on the first floor of the building with a two-bed apartment on the top floor, while three town houses form a continuation of a stone terrace to the rear. At ground floor level, The Black Bull Inn will continue to operate.
Pickard Properties director, Catherine Coleman, commented: “This is another niche development for us and one that we are very proud to bring to market.
“We expect it to be highly sought after by a range of renters, particularly young professionals and families - in fact, anyone who loves the idea of living in a bustling community with a host of amenities on their doorstep.
“We thought long and hard about how to repurpose this wonderful old building and as is our custom, we have taken great care to specify the highest quality materials throughout.
“It is fair to say, we are delighted with the finished product and pleased to have been able to extend the life of this very significant building for many more years because it has withstood the test of time at the heart of Horsforth’s development over the centuries.”
